How to Store Cannabis to Keep It Fresh for Months

Heat, light, oxygen, and humidity all degrade cannabinoids and terpenes. The fix is simple: a sealed jar, a humidity pack, and a cool dark cupboard.

Use glass, not plastic

Plastic can leach terpenes and build static. Mason jars or dedicated stash jars are ideal. Fill them roughly 75% full to leave a little headspace.

Hold humidity at 58–62%

Two-way humidity packs (Boveda, Integra) keep flower in the sweet spot. Below 55%, your weed dries and harshens. Above 65%, you risk mold.

Cool, dark, and undisturbed

Store between 15–21°C, away from sunlight. Properly stored AAAA flower stays fresh for 6+ months and AA/AAA for 4+ months.
